Hi-Intelligent Minds

The Hildesheim Intelligent Mind Project — a DAAD-funded project of the Institute of Computer Science that brings talented international students into machine-learning research and software engineering to Hildesheim. Your Code. Your Community. Minds Beyond Borders.

The project

Hi-Intelligent Minds is funded by the DAAD programme “Academic Horizons – Attracting Global Minds”, with support from the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space, and run jointly by the ISMLL and SSE research groups. Its goal is to attract outstanding international students to Hildesheim early — and to give them a real path from a first research experience into our English-taught, tuition-free master's programmes.

What we do

  • The annual Summer School on Machine Learning and AI Engineering — a two-week, fully-funded research immersion for advanced international Bachelor's students, next held July 19–30, 2027 (application deadline: January 31, 2027).
  • DAAD funding (travel, accommodation, meals) for ~20–25 students, exclusively for applicants from South America and Eastern Europe (the Balkans / South-East Europe).
  • A direct on-ramp to the institute's international master's programmes in Data Analytics and Software Engineering.

With funding from

Bundesministerium für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt — Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space DAAD — Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst / German Academic Exchange Service
